Semi-mature Pecorino Maremmano "Il Naturale" is a traditional cheese from the Maremma, made with pasteurized sheep's milk and available all year round. This pecorino combines the strong flavor of tradition with a delicacy that makes it versatile and ideal for many occasions. The thin amber-colored rind and the soft and compact paste, of a slightly straw-colored white, contain a balanced and multifaceted flavor, evoking the Maremma pastures. The semi-mature period adds a pleasant and creamy consistency, perfect for those who prefer persistent but not too intense flavors.

Organoleptic Characteristics

  • Appearance: Cylindrical shape with a thin amber-colored rind. Slightly straw-colored white paste, soft and compact.
  • Aroma: Delicate, with fresh lactic notes and light herbaceous nuances that recall the pasture.
  • Flavor: Strong but delicate, with a perfect balance that enhances the freshness of the sheep's milk and leaves a pleasant and persistent aftertaste.
